First International Meeting: How to Transform the City?

From 3 to 21 August 2009Habiendo two years since the Pisco earthquake and the region of southern Peru, it's definitely time to change the situation that still live there and to engage with the challenging task to rebuild Pisco. This meeting is to ensure that local authorities, community and government into action to show that you can rewrite history. The First International Meeting: "How to Transform the City" aims to create an international meeting to develop New architectural proposals for Pisco. It will bring together a selection of architects and architecture students who will study urban transformation reference models such as Medellín and Guayaquil, and will work with community involvement and authorities pisqueña integrating reconstruction projects existentes.El Social Planning workshop (3 to 17 August) includes a first week interdisciplinary work with the support of many professional workshops in Pisco and a seminar on participation and environment. The second week will work on design workshop format to develop the proposals to be presented at the conference 20 and August 21 at the Museum of architect and urban planner Osma.El Alejandro Echeverri (Colombia) promoter of the Social Planning program in Medellín, Manuel de Rivero, offering a reflection on the future of the city of Lima, Tito Fernández Dávila, architect Malecon 2000 in Guayaquil and workshop participants by proposals to Pisco, conferences departirán 20 and Aug. 21 at the Museo de Osma.
